Techniques Include Oil Scraperboard once the black surface has been scratched off, a white surface is revealed which is then painted with a fine brush giving an unusual and distinctive look. Slate Painting These are Welsh slates painted using acrylic paint. These are mostly used to paint birds, but can be used for any animal.
CommissionsDavid is happy to undertake commissions for pet portraits based on photographs. These are usually produced in oil pastels or oil paints.
ExhibitionsExhibitions of David’s work are mostly in Staffordshire and the West Midlands but he has also exhibited several times at NEWA (National Exhibition of Wildlife Art) on the Wirral and T.W.A.S.I. (The Wildlife Art Society International – of which he is a member) at Twigworth Gloucestershire.
